Twisters Place 2nd at 2010 Windsor Canada Tounament
Twisters had a great tournament, they finished the tournament in 1st place sweeping every team. The twisters fought hard in the championship game and lost to Windsor to come in 2nd place.
Twisters Win 2009 Lucky Stars Tournament to Finish their Season
The Kent Twisters won the Lucky Stars Tournament with the Championship game ending 3 - 1 in favor of the Kent Twisters. This tournament marked the end of the Twisters incredible season where they finished with only two losses and more than 15 wins by the end of the season.
Twisters Win Niagara Falls, ON Tournament
The Kent twisters finish the tournament in 1st place. They finished the tournament with just one goal scored on them throughout the entire weekend. They faced the LA Chill and won the game 3 to 0. They then faced the New England Ice Pirates winning 5 to 0. They played the final game of the tournament to decide the finals against the Cairn's Roofing winning the final game 2 to 1. They then proceeded to the finals to play against the New England Ice Pirates and won the game 1 to 0.
Twisters Finish in Second
The Kent Twisters finish out another great year in second place. They went to the playoff's in Cincinnati, OH. In the playoff they faced the Pittsburgh Piranhas winning 2-1. They then went into the finals to play Central Pittsburgh where they finished the season. Great Season Twisters.
Three Twisters Chosen as All Stars and MVP's
Kent Twisters, Hillary Anderson, Kim Koyle, and Megan Shary were all chosen as All Stars by POWHA (Pennsylvania-Ohio Women’s Hockey Association). Hillary, Kim and Meg were all also chosen as the league’s MVP for offense, defense, and goal tending respectively. Hillary not only was an essential goal scorer but also help her team with many assist through out the season. Kim was also an important part of the team and not only helped defend the Twisters’ net, but
was also, always there to lend a hand with offense whenever the chance arose. The Twisters pulled off a terrific season with strong offense and defense, which was amplified by the presence of their goaltender Megan. She had an outstanding season, and often helped bring victory to the team.
Twisters Finished second in the League
The Kent Twisters fought through out the year and completed the season, second in the standings, finishing only one point behind first place, Central Pittsburgh. The Twisters were strong throughout the playoffs, and played Central Pittsburgh for the POWHA championships. The Twisters outstanding outcome this season showed the tremendous effort and hard work the entire team put forth throughout the
year, as well as the incredible teamwork that the team possesses.
Twisters Finish First in Windsor
The Twisters win first after an amazing weekend in Windsor's tournament. They won three games in order to clinch the first place finish.
